Gun Clubs

South Carolina is blessed with many fine trapshooting gun clubs because we like to share good times. We are a friendly bunch who love to introduce new shooters to our sport. No matter their age or shooting skill, most first-timers find trap shooting to be fun. Unlike golf, bowling, basketball or tennis, trapshooting doesn’t require you to lift, bend, twist, run, jump and lose your breath. No need to break a sweat.

More importantly, we want you to have a great time. And don’t be bashful. Everyone is a new shooter at some point. Even we old timers haven’t forgotten that hitting those tiny clay targets wasn’t easy until we got the knack of it. Getting good takes patience, practice and concentration. But seeing those orange discs explode into balls of black smoke turns frustration into challenge. Don’t become discouraged if you shoot poor scores over a long period, either. It’s part of the attraction. Just keep coming back; eventually you’ll break that piece of clay into smithereens, and do it with a smile.
